Andrew Gabb has over 25 years experience in major acquisition projects, primarily in the Australian Department of Defence. Before joining Technology Australasia Pty Ltd in 1997, he was a leading researcher and adviser on acquisition processes within Defence. He has published several papers on systems and software engineering, particularly with regard to acquisition, and has contributed to a number of Australian and international standards in this area. His current work includes leading a study reviewing systems engineering structures and processes in the Defence Acquisition Organisation, and the support of major projects within the Department of Defence, as a Principal Consultant on Technology Australasia's consulting team.

Andrew Gabb has been with the Australian Defence Science and Technology Organisation since graduating in Electrical Engineering and Computing Science at the University of Adelaide in 1971. In that time he has acted as a consultant to numerous major projects in the Australian Department of Defence, in the areas of systems and software engineering primarily for combat systems. He is currently a Principal Research Scientist conducting research into C3I front end systems engineering and procurement methods.
