Maintenance and Operation Manuals (MOs)

MOs are reference type documents containing specific recommendations and technical guidance to be followed for continued maintenance and operation of facilities and equipment. MOs do not fall under NAVSO P-35 definition of technical manuals because they are not mandatory unless prescribed in an implementing directive. Instead, they are a guide to simplified maintenance management that can be tailored at individual activities to meet their special needs and requirements.

Abstract

This Military Handbook is a consolidated index of documents used by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFACENGCOM) and is published annually by the Naval Construction Rattalion Center, Port Huememe, CA 93043-5000.

This consolidated index provides a source from which needed reference say be identified. NAVFACENGCOM managers may use the listings to oversee the number of documents under their control and verify their currency. Interested parties may use it to determine which documents might satisfy their needs and how to obtain the documents. It will also serve as a historical listing for future research.
