7. Application/Interrelationship

7.1 This data item description contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.
7.2 These reports are applicable for use on contracts of any size when the unit production and/or operational support costs are important criteria in the cost-effectiveness of the weapon system. These reports can be required to various levels of detail depending on the potential dollar savings to the Government in relation to the cost of data collection and analyses.
