Description/Purpose

3.1 The MCDR documents maintenance actions relating to correction of malfunctions. Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO), and configuration status. The MDCR is used by the government to aid in the effective management of weapon systems and equipment.

Application

7.1 This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.
7.2 This DID is applicable to maintenance performed by contractors on weapon systems and equipment which is required to be reported to a maintenance data collection system.
