7. APPLICATION/INTERRELATIONSHIP
7.1 This Data Item Description contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by
the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.
7.2 This DID is applicable when contractors are responsible for developing equipment modification packages using the
TCTO process.
7.3 Copies of the document referenced in block 10 are available, through the government contracting office with oversight

10. PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
10.1 Reference documents. The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates
of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.
10.2 Format. The AFMC Form shall be used.
10.3 Content. The form content requirements are self-explanatory. For additional guidance, see AFMC Instruction
(AFMCI) 21-301, chapter 2. Data for the form heading information shall be provided to the contractor on a completed and
approved AFMC Form 873, TCTO Requirements, in accordance with the terms of the contract. The following data shall be
included on the AFMC Form 874:
a. Routing and TCTO identification.
b. TCTO kit and component identification data required for modification of end items and spares.
c. Action required on and identification of spares and bits and pieces affected by the TCTO.
d. Disposition instructions for removed and replaced parts, excess kits.
e. Size, weight, and cost of kits.
f. Action required on supply records.
g. Identification of special tools and test equipment required to perform the TCTO.

3. DESCRIPTION/PURPOSE
3.1 The Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) Form 874 provides supply-related data essential to the development,
acquisition, assembly, stockage, requisition, delivery, and disposition of components for TCTO kits, and shipping and
disposition instructions for components removed as a result of TCTO accomplishment.
3.2 The form is used as the principal source document for initiating, coordinating, and approving supply actions for the modifications of Air Force systems and commodities.
