7.1 This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data described by MIL-D-81992B(AS).
7.2 This DID applies to aircraft, weapons, equipment, support equipment, trainers, training device, and companion software system items. This DID does not apply to intelligence processing equipment.
7.3 This DID supersedes DI-CMAN-81269.

3. Description / Purpose
3.1 The Technical Directive (TD) provides the authority and instructions to accomplish and record a material change, re positioning, modification, and alternation, or an inspection of the equipment of software to which it applies.
