7. APPLICATION/INTERRELATIONSHIP
7.1 This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and interrelationship requirements for Configuration Change Control information resulting from the work task described in the contract SOW. This DID is applicable to the acquisition and support of systems, equipment, software, and components for military use.
7.2 It is not intended that all of the requirements contained herein should be applied to every program. This DID should be tailored to the minimum acceptable data requirements of the applicable contract or purchase order. Data information subpacket selection and ordering guidance can be found in MIL-STD-2549, Appendix A.
7.3 If a modification instruction DID (for example, DI-CMAN-80225, -80529 or -81182 or DI-MGMT-81325) is cited in
the CDRL, see Table A-I of MIL-STD-2549 for guidelines to require the data in the electronic format of subpacket 4I
instead of including DI-CMAN-81554 in the CDRL.
