• Ci functional primitive’s relative contribution to the
system
To determine the relative contribution with respect
to a quality:
1. List all functional primitives that affect the quality
2. Calculate the relative information (Eq. 1) of each functional
primitive found in step 1.
3. Sum the relative information values found in step 2. This is the
average information carried by the quality (Eq.2)
4. Find each functional primitive’s relative contribution (Eq.3)
