This Directive:
1.1. Supersedes references (a) and (b).
1.2. Establishes DoD policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for the management of M&S.
1.3. Establishes the DoD Executive Council for Modeling and Simulations (EXCIMS).
1.4. Establishes the Defense Modeling and Simulation Office (DMSO).
1.5. Authorizes the publication of a “DoD Modeling and Simulation Glossary” as a DoD Manual in accordance with reference (c).
