Process Improvement through Agile and CMMI

• Important to have a valid process framework to drive process discipline within organisations with many and varied software projects
• Implementation of the framework is a difficult cultural change management exercise
• The payback is valuable incremental performance improvement
• However, for a revolutionary step forward, process frameworks need to
be complemented by a methodology such as Agile & Scrum
• Agile and CMMI are complementary in theory and appear to be so in practice
