Configuration Management –An Integrated Systems Engineering Process

Manages change to the collection of items for a baseline or release Maintains the integrity of the CI’s by facilitating approved changes via documented requests (e.g., change control forms, engineering change requests, software change requests) Preventing incorporation of unapproved changes into a baseline (or formal implementation release) Uses a change control board comprised of the appropriate individuals Requires extent of analysis and approval action to be in concert with the nature of the change --classifies change to be in scope or out of scope of requirements
